The Bucks County Housing Authority (BCHA) Mainstream (Non-Elderly Disabled) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently postponed. Applications were last accepted from April 24, 2019, until an unconfirmed close date. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

Please note: 

  • The BCHA has not explicitly stated that this waiting list is closed, but there's a notice on its website that says "The Bucks County Housing Authority will be closed until further notice due to COVID-19." Applications may not be available while the office is closed.
  • According to the BCHA, this waiting list is, "solely for non-elderly (under age 62) disabled individuals who qualify for HUD’s Mainstream Voucher Program, as follows:
  1. Literally Homeless – living in places not meant for human habitation: on the street/in car, abandoned building, parks; emergency shelter or
  2. Transitioning out of an institution or other congregate setting or
  3. Living in housing that is funded by a public/private agency and the funding assistance is time-limited."

There are two ways to apply during the opening period:

  1. Pick up an application at the BCHA Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher office, located at 240 Levittown Parkway, Levittown, Pennsylvania 19054; from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, and 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
  2. Call ( 215) 945-6110 to request an application by mail, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, and 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm.

Once the application has been completed, it must be either:

  1. Mailed to the BCHA Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher office located at the address above.
  2. Dropped off at the BCHA Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher office the address and hours above.

There are no preferences.

Selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, by order of preferences.

Open Until Further Notice: Bucks County, Pennsylvania Family Unification Program (FUP) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

The Bucks County Housing Authority (BCHA) Family Unification Program (FUP) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open, from May 21, 2019 at 9:00 am ET, until further notice.

Please note: According to the BCHA, this waiting list is "solely for families that qualify for a HUD Family Unification Program (FUP) Voucher, as follows:

  1. Must be a client with Bucks County Children & Youth Social Services Agency
  2. Is the parent or guardian of a child/children who is already placed outside the family home and stable housing is the primary reason for the delay in reunification
  3. Is the parent or guardian for one or more children who is/are at risk of being placed outside the family home and stable housing is the primary reason for the placement
  4. Is a youth that the Bucks County Children & Youth Social Services Agency can certify is between 18 – 24 years old, and who has left foster care/will leave foster care within 90 days, and is homeless or is at risk of becoming homeless."

To apply during the opening period, applicants must contact their Children and Youth Caseworker to request an application.

Once the application has been completed, it must be either:

  1. Dropped off at the BCHA office, located at 240 Levittown Parkway, Levittown, PA 19054; from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm until 3:30 pm.
  2. Mailed to the BCHA office at the address above.

This waiting list has the following preference: Live or work in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
