The Amherst Housing Authority (AHA) Seventy Amherst Apartments waiting list is currently closed. Applications for Studio,1, and 2-Bedroom Local Action Units Program units were last accepted on August 27, 2019. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to open and print the application online.

Once the application was completed, it must have been postmarked by August 27, 2019, and mailed to The Amherst Housing Authority.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

  • Current residents of the Town of Amherst.
  • Amherst Municipal Employees: Employees of the Town of Amherst, such as teachers, janitors, firefighters, police officers, librarians, or town hall employees.
  • Employees of Local Businesses: Employees of businesses located in the Town of Amherst.
  • Households with children attending public schools in the Town of Amherst

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, weighed by order of preferences. Lottery will be held September 4, 2019 at 9:00 am ET.
