The Housing Authority of the Cookson Hills Electric Cooperative (HACHEC) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list pre-applications for families and senior/disabled households.Please note: The waiting list for Public Housing is quite lengthy.The HACHEC offers one Public Housing community with 32 units for families and senior/disabled households, ranging in size from 1 to 3 bedrooms.To apply, visit the HACHEC office to pick up a pre-application, located at 109 West Hammon St., McCurtain, Oklahoma 74944, from 10:30 am until 2:00 pm, Monday-Friday.Once the pre-application has been completed, it must be hand delivered to the address listed above, from 10:30 am until 2:00 pm, Monday-Friday.Be sure to include these documents with the pre-application: Social Security Cards and birth certificates for all household members, photo IDs for all adult household members, and proof of all income.The HACHEC does not have a preference.Qualified applicants will be placed on the waiting list by the date and time the pre-application is received.For more information, call the HACHEC office at 918-945-7402, from 10:30 am until 2:00 pm, Monday-Friday.
