The Housing Authority of Beggs (HAB) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list pre-applications for families and senior/disabled households.The HAB offers one Public Housing community with 50 units for families and senior/disabled households, ranging in size from 1 to 4 bedrooms.To apply, visit the HAB office to pick up a pre-application, located at 109 S Choctaw Ave., Beggs, OK 74421, from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm CT, Monday-Friday.Once the pre-application has been completed, it must be hand delivered to the address listed above from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm, Monday-Friday.Be sure to include these documents with the pre-application: Social Security Cards and birth certificates for all household members, and photo IDs for all adult household members.The HAB does not have a preference.Applicants will receive a confirmation number upon submitting the pre-application. It is important to keep that number in a safe, easy to access place. It will be needed any time when referencing your pre-application with the housing authority.Qualified applicants will be placed on the waiting list by the date and time the pre-application is received.As of December 2015, the Public Housing waiting list is very long.For more information, call the HAB office at (918) 267-3211 from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm, Monday-Friday.
